Collaborating to Reduce Workplace Injuries

In 2021, the National Safety Council (NSC) partnered with Amazon to solve the most common workplace injury: musculoskeletal disorders.

The five-year, $12 million corporate contribution was the largest in the history of NSC. The goals for the partnership launch were to position NSC and Amazon as global leaders committed to reducing workplace injuries, highlight NSC as a leading nonprofit resource, and inspire other potential members and organizations to join and advance this important workplace mission.

HSN PR played a key role in the partnership launch execution, including developing the media strategy, key messages, tough Q&A, internal announcements, and emails to key stakeholders, as well as media outreach in tandem with Amazon. In addition, HSN PR helped coordinate the launch announcement press conference with the NSC CEO and an Amazon executive, which was attended by ABC News, Associated Press, Bloomberg, CBS News, CNBC, CNN, Financial Times, NBC News, New York Times, Reuters, TIME, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post.
